Mount Meru is a dormant stratovolcano located in Arusha National Park, 70 Kilometres (43 miles) west of Mount Kilimanjaro in the country of Tanzania. Typically Mount Meru Climb takes four days, but it can be done in 3 days to complete a trek to the Summit.

Day 1 FROM MOMELLA GATE TO MIRIAKAMBA HUT
The route begin at Arusha National Park, Momella gate (1500m), through the fascinating rain forest to Miriakamba hut (2750m). Duration 5-6hrs walking, southern route. 3hrs walking north route. Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba hut.
Day 2 FROM MIRIAKAMBA HUT TO SADDLE HUT AND ASCENDING TO SUMMIT
Depart Miriakamba and follow an ascending path to Saddle hut (3750m) Duration 5-6hrs walking. You might see Panoramic view of Mt Kilimanjaro, Momella lake, Ash cone, Large stone of Meru and small stone of Meru, at the camp go for short hiking to little Meru and back to Saddle hut for 5hrs rest ready for traditional midnight trek to summit which is about 5-6hrs walking.
Day 3 FROM SADDLE HUT TO MIRIAKAMBA AND DESCENT TO MOMELLA GATE
Back to saddle ready for breakfast and short rest. After that pack everything and walking to Miriakamba hut, 2hrs walking. 10minutes short rest then From Miriakamba to Momella gate. End of hiking back to ARUSHA OR MOSHI
